Last updated: November 3, 2026
This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you share on grewtobeyou.com. The site is written for parents and families interested in the picture book How You Grew To Be You.
Who we are
grewtobeyou.com is run by Miranda and the team behind How You Grew To Be You. You can reach her through Miranda on LinkedIn.
What we collect
The only personal information we collect is your email address, and only if you type it into the “Get notified when the book launches” form. We don’t ask for your name, your phone number, your address, or anything about your children.
The site also uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records basic, non-identifying usage information, such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, the approximate (city-level) location, and how you arrived at the site. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are.
Why we collect it
We use your email address to email you about the launch of How You Grew To Be You and related book news. You can unsubscribe anytime. We use analytics to understand how many people visit and which parts of the site are useful.
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your email address.
Who helps us
- MailerLite stores the email list and sends our emails. See MailerLite’s privacy policy.
- Google Analytics measures site visits. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of every email we send. Once you unsubscribe, you won’t get any more emails from us.
Children’s privacy
This site is meant for parents and other adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We never ask for a child’s name or age.
Cookies and analytics choices
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
